China, first time · plan + booking alarms
Arrive in China ready.
Tell us your dates and your pace. We send back a day-by-day plan and a booking-alarm sheet: every ticket that opens on a fixed day and hour, converted to your time zone, as calendar alerts. Plus a ten-minute setup test for payments and apps — done at home, before you fly. PDF and calendar file in 48 hours.
Not taking orders yet. Planned founder price: $29. Nothing is charged now.
Why first trips go wrong
China is open: visa-free entries passed 30 million in 2025, and arrivals kept growing in 2026. Entry rules depend on your passport — see the National Immigration Administration.
But the country runs on apps and on exact release times. The Palace Museum releases tickets seven days ahead at 8 pm Beijing time and does not sell same-day tickets; book ahead online. The Shaanxi History Museum releases five days ahead at 5 pm. If you are asleep in Chicago when that happens, the day is gone. Payment apps can ask for a text code at the counter.
None of this is secret — the hours are published. The work is applying them to your dates, your time zone and the right order of steps, before you leave. That is what we do.
How it works
- Six questions. Your home time zone, month, cities (or “help me choose”), days, pace, and who’s travelling.
- We plan and check. Stages around your pace, rest built in, and every timed reservation on your route checked against the official rule for your dates.
- You get two files. A PDF (day-by-day plan, setup test, “if something fails” card) and a calendar file that sets each booking alarm in your own time.
Sample booking-alarm sheet
For a two-person, ten-day April trip from New York. Illustrative — real plans are checked against the official rule the week they are sent.

| What | Opens (Beijing) | Opens (your time) | For your date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Palace Museum (Forbidden City) | 7 days before · 20:00, released in batches after 20:00 | same day · 08:00 | Wed 14 Apr 2027 → alarm Wed 7 Apr, 07:50 |
| Shaanxi History Museum | 5 days before · 17:00 | same day · 05:00 | Fri 16 Apr 2027 → alarm Sun 11 Apr, 04:50 |
| High-speed train Xi’an → Chengdu | per official sales window | converted in your file | listed with fallback trains |

Link your card in the payment app at home and make one small test payment to a friend’s account or a merchant that accepts foreign cards. If the app asks for an SMS code, note which number it wants — your plan tells you the counter fallback for each city.
Honest notes
- We don’t book for you. You make every reservation yourself; we tell you what, where and exactly when.
- We don’t give visa advice. Entry rules are set by China’s National Immigration Administration; please check the official page.
- Rules change. Every plan is checked against the official rule the week it is sent. If a rule changed and your plan was wrong, we fix it or refund 100% (planned launch policy).
- A setup test is a rehearsal, not a guarantee. It catches most problems at home; it can’t promise every payment will work on the day.
- Not affiliated with any museum, railway, payment app or government body.
Questions
- Why not a free guide?
- Use them. The release hours themselves are public. We do the part guides can’t: your dates, your time zone, your order of steps, in one file you can forward to whoever travels with you.
- Which cities?
- We start with the first-trip loop — Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shanghai — and add others when people ask on the form.
- When will it open?
- Not decided yet. If enough travellers ask, we’ll open a small first batch in time for spring 2027 trips. People on the list hear first. Joining the list is not a purchase or a reservation.
- What do you do with my email?
- We write once, when plans open. One-click unsubscribe. Never shared.
